4 of us rented a Bali 4.6 for 4 days to go to Exhuma. Our captain was a very pleasant guy and we enjoyed his company very much. He didn't provide much in the way of sailing instruction, despite my specific prior request. The boat had a terrific layout, was in generally good condition (2-3 years old) and I thought it was a super format for the mission. We had several significant maintenance issues including: a) a marine toilet that went out, b) the refrigerator (which caused much of our food supply to go bad) and most notably c) a "lazy jack" - the lines that steer the mainsail down onto the boom - that completely failed while sailing. I noted that these lines were frayed down to almost nothing at departure, so it wasn't shocking when they exploded. Having said all this, the DYC team's response (thanks to Alex) was exemplary, and they provided an extremely reasonable response/compensation for our inconveniences. That's all one can ask of a charter company when things don't go ideally.

Where is the boat?
